Who We Are & What We Do

We are Samoyed-lovers. We love all Samoyeds and want to see them in loving homes. We take homeless, unwanted, abandoned, abused, neglected and sometimes Samoyeds with no problems into our rescue program. We provide the Samoyeds with veterinary care, spay/neuter, foster care, basic training (if needed) and most importantly, TLC until we can find each the appropriate adoptive home. Our rescue dogs come to us in many different ways (from shelters, owner give ups, etc). No matter how they get here, they all share the desire to have a home of their own and the friendly, loving, adaptable temperament that Samoyeds are known for.

We are located in Port Charlotte, Florida, but take dogs in/adopt dogs to people throughout the state of Florida. If you are located in another state, we can put you in touch with the Samoyed Rescue organization located closest to you.

If you are looking for a wonderful family dog or a companion that keeps you laughing and gives total, unconditional love, please consider adopting one of our Sammies!

Adopting a friend

If you are interested in adopting a dog from Florida Samresq, the first step is to fill out our adoption application. The information on that form will help us determine which dog might be a good match for your home and family. Completing the application and mailing it in will get the ball rolling. After we receive your application, we will arrange a home visit. This gives us a chance to meet you in person, check out the environment the dog will live in to make sure it's "Sammy-safe", and will give you a chance to ask us any questions you might have.

We will let you know when the right dog is available. If all goes well when you meet, then we'll complete the adoption contract and you'll have a new member of your family!

Adoption Donation.

The donation requested when someone adopts a dog from our organization is $300. With some dogs, our expenses (veterinary costs, shelter fees, etc) exceed that, so we may request an aditional amount to offset the costs. We are an all-volunteer organization -- your donations go to help the dogs. Additional donations are always welcome and gratefully accepted!!
